Knowledge sources give Toffu context about your business. Add your website, brand guidelines, competitor info, or any document - then reference them directly in chat using @mentions.
Source Types
URLs
Add any website. Choose to crawl a single page or the entire site.
- Company website and blog
- Competitor sites
- Industry resources
Files
Upload documents directly. Supported formats:
- Documents: PDF, Word (.doc, .docx), TXT, Markdown
- Presentations: PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx)
- Spreadsheets: Excel (.xls, .xlsx), CSV
- Other: JSON, XML, ZIP, EPub
Plain Text
Paste text directly for quick context - mission statements, brand voice notes, campaign briefs.
Adding Sources
- Go to Knowledge in the sidebar
- Click Add Source
- Choose URL, File, or Plain Text
- For URLs, select single page or entire website crawl
- Wait for indexing to complete
Using Knowledge in Chat
Once indexed, reference any source directly with @mentions:

Toffu also searches your knowledge automatically when relevant to your request.
Managing Sources
- Refresh - Check indexing status for all sources
- Delete - Remove sources that are no longer relevant
URL sources are automatically reindexed to keep content current.

Export your existing context and import it as plain text:
